This is an AWESOME wall! I love the character poses - they're all there - and
the flower is just at the right angle that it mimics their shadows but could
also be a transition to the cityscape. It fits into both roles, which makes it
seem a little off when you're looking at just one element paired with it, but as
a whole it works marvelously. Quite the feat. My only thing is that there is a
lot of white in the wallpaper for a sunset being part of the cityscape. It'd be
nice to have some darker colors for the sky(and the characters could still be in
white without a problem). But that's a minor thing. Overall, very nice wall.
Thanks so much for sharing!
That's pretty nice. I like how you were able to keep the color pallet of the
background in the same tone as the character. (That's Asch, btw.) And most of
the elements would fit right in with the game's setting. The Ferris wheel is the
only thing a little out of place. (Sort of, some may disagree with me, but I
don't remember seeing anything resembling one in the game. But now I'm being
knit-picky.) I would like to suggest making the text a little less intrusive. It
stands out a bit too much for me, maybe a little less intensive red would be the
fix. I do like the textures you used. It makes everything cohesive and fit
together well.
And if you haven't played the game...why not!? It's great! It's got an awesome
story, and lot's of game play. And the character interactions are so wonderful
that they make me laugh in most every scene. [ending of shameless plug - ] Thanks for the wallpaper! I'm so happy to see it! Thanks for sharing.
I love the critter rocks. ^^ The juunishi look awesome, but with just the blue
background they seem a little depressing. I don't know about everyone else, but
I do what Tohru did when she saw them in the first episode...I squee with joy.
So, personally, I'd love to see a cheerier color for them to be against. Or even
a mock up of Shigure's porch, which is my ideal, of course. As for the rocks
themselves they're very cute, and I'm glad to see them walled. Thanks for
sharing!
Very nice making the glow in her eyes and the authentic blank stare at her
computer. My eyes get strained just thinking about it (screen glare etc.)
Instead of just black for the background, how about ghosted images that are just
barely there of the other inhabitants (a.k.a. bed, chair, bookshelf, etc.) of
the room that she's in? It could be amusing. Just an idea. I still like the wall
as is. Very funny, and I think that a lot
of people can relate to the title! I know I can. X-D
That is a very pretty wall, and even though my enthusiasm has died down for
Inuyasha I'm still very happy to see it. *Adds to growing MT wallpaper
collection* Awesome job painting - even the "annoying" grass. I know
that the placement of the characters is based upon the original scan, but it'd
be cool to see them near the top and have their full reflections in the water.
(Haha! I pose to you a challenge...though I'd very much understand if you just
say, ":P Nuh-uh. I don't think so." lol. ) Awesome wall and kudos to you for the reconstruction of Shippo and Kirara.
I can't even tell.
That is cool. I don't think I've ever seen realistic things incorporated in with
a drawn/anime image so well before. That is just leaving me speechless. (Which
is quite a feat. )
There's no way else to put it: it's just a damn good wallpaper. Major kudos
points for you.
Sweetness. I love this game as well, though the version I have is for the PS2
which is plagued by slow-downs, but it's worth feeling like I'm walking through
sludge in the game on occasion because the character interactions were so
good!
Your wall is nicely done. I personally am not too sure about the glow
surrounding Millenia, and I think it's because of the glowing circles in the
background. I'd like to see them and her be differentiated between a little bit
more. Maybe adding a tiny bit of a shadow between the two would help? The
background compilments the image very well - nice color choices. And I've never
seen this image before (but that's me ) so that gets extra points from me. Very nice work. Hope to see more!
My first impression? Egad that's a dark wall...it looks kind of muddy. But then
I looked at the full size version. TEN TIMES BETTER! (So I really think you need
to add a Please see full version to the
beginning of your description.)
I do agree that the grass does look a little funky...mostly because the colors
used don't quite match the grey/green feel of the rest of the wall. I also would
like to see the character more saturated (brighter maybe) colors. Kind of like
he's standing in the moonlight - a highlight of sorts. (Hope that makes sense.)
How the character is now he blends into the background too well. I'd like to see him stand out a little bit more.
Your background, however, is awesome. I think your vector turned out superb and
I can't believe that it was done in a "hurry." So that either shows
how little I know about vectors, or your skills are pretty high.
Overall, I like the wall...bad grammar and all.
Btw, you are correct. Manga Carta is a video game.
Very nice. The arrangement of the circle and square shapes is right on. And the
pink theme works surprisingly well. Though I'm not too sure about the shadow
effect that's behind the characters, I personally am not thrilled with that
aspect. However, I do like the simplicity of the wall overall, and your vector
is awesome.
Another note: Make sure to tag your work! There are thieves out there (and some
are none to bright) that will try and claim your work as their own, even if it
is tagged. Put your mark on your art, that way you can say to those dirty
thieves, "Hey stupid, that's my name down there on 'your' wall." Make
sure to claim your work - it is yours after all and it's good!
You know, this isn't the first time this has happened to me. I'm calmly minding
my own business, looking at wallpapers at MT, and then a wall featuring a show I
don't even know catches my eye.
Yours did that to me.
Needless to say, I had to catch at least one episode of the show. So thanks for
getting me addicted to yet another anime.
Onto a short critique:
I like the simplistic approach to the wall. The rainbow colors really capture
the mood (of what I've seen so far anyway) of the show. Whimsical. That's a good
fit so far. I like that there's nothing flashy, but that does make the text
within the rainbow colors sort of hard to read. I'm not sure, if anything, can
really be done about it, and granted the that's not really the focus of the
wall. So...just an observation. The whole thing is cute. And I like that the
character's ties match the color they're standing in front of. Nice work on the
wallpaper overall!
Buwhahahaha. Genius! Very cunning, and artistic, way to advertise for Oldsters.
Now for a short critique of the wall.
I like the color pallet - reminds me of tea. (Very appropriate for
"old" people. ) The
butterfly on the cup, I think, should be more distorted so as to follow the
curve of the bowl. As well as the tail section of the left wing probably
wouldn't be visible if it was curved to the contours of the bowl.
And that's really all I have to say. I
like. Though it seems more modern to me than retro...maybe that was the decade I
was pretending to be an ostrich and had my head buried in the sand. And there is, yet another, lame attempt at humor.
Nice work, and I'm glad you walled it too!
I'm not gonna lie. You get bonus kudos points just for making a Mushishi
wallpaper. They're so hard to find in my experience.
I really love the lighting you did from the lantern, not too much and not too
little. Just right. Though Ginko's face seems a little blotchy to me. Kind of
like circles make up the shadows under his hairline. As well as on his foot. I
think that these areas stand out as circular because, even though the rest of
the wall has that same sort of texture, people's skin doesn't bounce light that
way. So a smoothing or a more gradual blur of skin tone on his face and foot
would solve that problem. Which is a slight thing that was bothering me.
Overall your coloring is awesome, and the textures left from the coloring method
all work well everywhere else. Great use of color by the way. Very nice piece.
Thanks for sharing!
Ahem, thanks so much for the submission. What can I say? I've got a soft spot
for Kyo as a cat. I sort of went to an anime convention with about 56% of going
just to get a Kyo hat! Yes, I'm crazy. BUT! I got my hat. lol.
The monochrome is awesome, and I like that one little smidgen of red on the
character's face. I love the tilt that's maintained throughout the entire wall.
It's not very often you see one like this. The
different shades of gray in the background remind me of a cityscape. Not sure if
that's what you were going for, but that's what I got out of it. Nice
work.
Sweet. I love Peacemaker, though I've only seen the anime and read the first
volume of the manga. Hopefully I'll get to read them all at some point. Thanks
for sharing the scan.
Really nice vector. I'm not so sure about the background. There's a strange blue
line around the shrine's entrance and the middle most firework looks really
jagged on the edges compared to the others. Also, I don't think the colors of
the background, which look almost inverted, work well with the character's
colors. The vector is very smooth and the colors of the characters are great,
but it's the juxtaposition against the background that isn't working well.
However, I like the concept overall, and your vector is awesome as a stand alone
piece. Nice work.
I really like the subtle texture on their clothes, and even though the swords
are all the same one I think that just by changing the hilt colors it makes them
all seem unique.
And I'm going to be a pain in the a$$ because I've seen rain fall straight down,
but there was no wind. So that's just a
technicality, but it does happen. And
this matter doesn't affect the fact that I really like the wall as is - I think
the stark background adds to the desolation of the battlefield. Great job!
Very nice crisp, clear scan. I love stuff featuring the anime character designs. Thanks bunches for sharing!

I have always loved this picture. Thanks for such a large resolution scan. I haven't run across one this big before.
I am always soooo happy when someone uploads anything from the Suikoden series. Awesome scans! Thanks so much for sharing.
